Genevieve Roch-Decter

Genevieve is the founder & CEO of Grit Capital a capital market advisory firm started in 2016. Prior to that,  from 2008 to 2016, Genevieve was a Portfolio Manager and Analyst for LDIC Inc., a $600M asset management company based in Toronto. While there, she spearheaded the launch of three specialized funds: the LDIC North American Small Business Fund, the LDIC North American Infrastructure Fund and the Healthcare Special Opportunities Fund.  She also, with the help of her team, raised nearly $100M in asset for LDIC Inc. For 7 years she ran the Redwood Global Small Cap Fund – which was the best performing small cap fund in Canada in 2009, 2010 and 2014 as ranked by Globe Funds – the fund returned over 150% to investors (13% CAGR) from 2008 to 2015. Genevieve has been featured in the Globe & Mail, the National Post, and Business News Network (BNN).

Genevieve completed the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation (CFA) in 2011 and has her Level 1 Chartered Market Technician designation (CMT). She has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). She attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education for Private Equity & Venture Capital in 2016. She has an honors bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Economics from McMaster University.

She is currently a founding member of the Institute for Blockchain Innovation (IBI) with leaders from Indiegogo, Finova, 500 Startups, & Ausum Ventures. She is a SheO Activator and a member of the CFA Society.

She has appeared on numerous times on BNN as well as featured in the Globe & Mail and National Post. Genevieve is an avid golfer, skier, tennis player & wakesurfer!
