Jeff Rosnawski is a proud member and elected councillor of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN). Jeff’s professional journey began in the mining industry, where he accumulated over a decade of experience working at remote diamond mines in the Northwest Territories. He eventually advanced to lead mine dewatering and ice road construction crews. Motivated by a desire to serve his community and further his education, Jeff pursued post-secondary studies as a mature student, earning diplomas in Mining Engineering Technician and Advanced Mining Engineering Technology. Jeff gained valuable experience on major northern mine remediation projects, including the Bullmoose-Ruth, Great Slave Lake, and Giant Mine Remediation Projects. These projects allowed Jeff to refine his technical expertise in managing contaminated sites and mine remediation efforts, while also enhancing his knowledge of relevant NWT mining and environmental legislation. He currently holds a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) accreditation.
