Erdene Resource Development Corp.

Erdene Resource Development (TSX:ERD) has been an active precious metals exploration company in Mongolia for over a decade, focused on the prolific Tian Shan Gold Belt running through the southern part of the country, host to Rio Tinto’s 60 million ounce Oyu Tolgoi gold-copper deposit.  Erdene’s regional exploration programs have resulted in the discovery of multiple gold-copper occurrences in a new metals district in southwest Mongolia, including its two, high-grade gold projects at Bayan Khundii (80 metres of 6 g/t gold) and at Altan Nar (20 metres of 11 g/t gold), 16 kilometres apart. Erdene’s on-going 33,000 metre drill program has focused on defining and expanding gold mineralized zones at these two high-grade, near-surface gold projects in advance of a resource estimate in 2018, while identifying and consolidating additional gold opportunities in the surrounding district.  In addition to work being completed at Bayan Khundii and Altan Nar, Erdene has an alliance with Teck Resources to explore regional district-scale precious and base metal opportunities in the larger, 400 km long Trans Altai region of southwest Mongolia.
