After working at Uber and participating in the tech accelerator Y Combinator in Silicon Valley, JR understood that the world is on the verge of a mental health and addiction apocalypse. Realizing that the solution might lie in psychedelic medicines, he left the consumer tech world and assembled a world-class team of researchers and drug developers for his new company Mindmed. Mindmed discovers, develops, and deploys psychedelic inspired medicines.
JR previously worked in market expansion and special projects at Uber in Asia. After Uber, he founded a Y Combinator backed fintech company, Upgraded, which is partnered with Apple to provide device financing for Apple customers in Europe.
JR also invests into mental healthcare and mental wellness through his investment company Synthesis Cap.
