Chris Dekker graduated from the  University of Saskatchewan with and Honours Degree in Commerce.  He then worked in marketing with Maple Leaf Foods in Edmonton and later as the Market Research Analyst with the North Battleford Local Economic Development Authority.

Chris has worked in the provincial government as Executive Assistant to the Minister of Revenue and Financial Services and the Minister of Health and was also appointed Assistant Press Secretary in Executive Council.

In 1996, Chris became the Manager of the Communications Branch for the City of Saskatoon and later was appointed Manager of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Projects in 2005.  His duties included project manager for the popular River Landing redevelopment initiative.   

Chris returned to the Government of Saskatchewan in March 2009 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Enterprise Saskatchewan, the provincial government’s economic development agency.  In July, 2010, Chris was appointed Chief Executive Officer where he leads a team that helps businesses create jobs and attract investment to Saskatchewan.
