Alex Gierus Government Of Alberta

Alex Gierus leads the Energy Markets and Oil Sands Economics groups within the Department of Energy. Before joining the Government of Alberta, Alex held numerous positions at CN Rail over ten years, most recently Senior Manager of Finance, both at the Edmonton and Montreal headquarters. Alex's mandate is to increase industry engagement, monitor competitiveness, and advise policy. He holds a BSc from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Alberta.
