Doug Forster President & CEO, Featherstone Capital Inc.

Mr. Forster has been associated with the mining industry for over 35 years.  Most recently he was Founder, President and CEO of Newmarket Gold Inc. which operated three mines in Australia with gold production of over 225,000 ounces per year.  Newmarket was acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. in November, 2016 for $1.0 Billion creating a mid-tier gold producer targeting 525,000 ounces of gold production in 2017 in Tier 1 jurisdictions of Australia and Canada.  Doug has extensive experience and a proven track record in mergers and acquisitions, public company management, mine operations, equity and debt financing, mineral exploration and resource project development.  Mr. Forster is currently President and CEO of Featherstone Capital Inc. a private company which partners with owners of advanced stage or producing precious and base metal projects providing capital markets, development and operational expertise.  He holds a B.Sc. (1981) and M.Sc. (1984) in geological sciences from the University of British Columbia and is a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
