Vicarage Capital Limited ("VCL") is a a UK regulated, privately owned corporate development, investor relations and stockbroking firm, focused on supporting small and mid cap natural resource companies.
Established in 2003 to provide a corporate finance, research, IR and advisory role to a niche in the London and European market for junior resource companies who "fall beneath the radar" of larger brokers, VCL focuses on building long term business partnerships with its clients and specialises in providing a wide range of corporate development, debt, equity, hedge structuring, pre-IPO advice and capital raising services to listed pre production mining and oil and gases companies helping them to reach new investors in Europe, raise their corporate profile and raise funds. About 80% of VCL's clients are listed on the TSX or TSX-V.
Martin spent a dozen years in the London banking and financial community, working for N.M Rothschild, Standard Bank London Ltd and the Benfield Group. During this time he has worked on over $2bn worth of transactions for the resource sector. Martin left the City in January 2003 and after rowing the Atlantic solo, he established VCL. Responsible for the financial side of VCL, Martin has an MBA and extensive experience in small company financing and promotion, project lending and merger and acquisition structures.
Martin has been interviewed (in his capacity at VCL and when he was Chairman of the Association of Mining Analysts) by the BBC, BNN and CNN for his opinions on the resource market and lectures in project finance at a number of UK university MSc (Finance) and MBA courses.
