A few years ago we tried something new at one of our conferences. We wanted to add a deeper level of interaction, so we recruited some of the best performing investors and money managers and asked them to guide private tours around our exhibition hall, introducing their favourite companies to investors.

I thought we would get 8-10 people to sign up for each tour, so we didn’t set up a formal RSVP process. I figured we could organize on the fly.

I was standing at the podium in our main speaker hall when I announced the first tour: “In five minutes, Rick Rule will be guiding a private tour of the trade show, showcasing his top stock picks.”

My jaw dropped - 150 people stood up and started walking over to where I was pointing.

Immediately we realized these experiences were going to need much more support than we thought.

Not a bad problem.

We’ve since amped up the production of these tours, and they are a fan favourite.

If you have joined a tour at one of our events, you will recognize Georgia Tucker, who among many other hats, has taken over as “Tour Manager”.

Georgia Tucker, guiding one of our now infamous, "Keynote Tours"

While we take a pause from the event production side of our business, Georgia asked if she could keep the ball rolling - “The show must go on!”, she told me.

I thought it sounded like fun.

So today I am sharing a video with our host from Cambridge House, Georgia Tucker, and her guests, Nick Hodge, Editor of the Outsider Club and one of his long standing favourite companies, Stephen Quin, CEO of Midas Gold.
