Aztec Minerals Corp is a private mineral exploration company focused on acquiring and exploring quality properties in the Americas with potential for the discovery of exception porphyry gold-copper deposits. The company was founded by Chairman, Bradford Cooke, and is preparing to IPO in early 2017. The company has an option acquire 100% of Cervantes, an underexplored porphyry gold-copper property in eastern Sonora, Mexico. A small historic drill program reportedly returned 40m @ 1.0g/t Au in 1996, large new robust Au-Cu soil anomaly was detected in 2016, coincident porphyry alteration zones, large & open ended IP anomalies significantly expands discovery potential. Our strategy is to acquire highly prospective exploration properties at low cost that have strong evidence of large porphyry gold systems from past work but no significant resources due to insufficient modern exploration.
