Castle Silver Resources Inc. (TSXV: CSR) is a junior natural resource company focusing on the exploration and development of its high-grade, cobalt-silver Castle Silver Mine property in Gowganda, Ontario. The Company also owns two other former-producing cobalt-silver properties, the Beaver Silver Mine and Violet Silver Mine, near Cobalt, Ontario.
The 33 sq. km Castle Silver mine property includes three former shafts which produced 300,000 lbs of cobalt and 9.5 million ounces of silver in the 1900s. The underground ore grade averaged 25 oz/t silver. Recent drilling in 2011 intersected 188.8 oz/t silver over 3.09 metres. Channel sampling in 2014 indicated a new discovery of gold and copper on the property, with a sampling grade of 2.24 g/t gold over 2.2 metres and copper values as high as 1.03% in bedrock. A NI 43-101 technical report was completed in 2015.
Current exploration underway includes an Induced Polarization (IP) survey to identify drilling targets for both silver and gold. Drilling is expected to follow in 2017. Additional information on the Company’s properties is available on the Company's website at www.castlesilverresources.com.
