About

Empire Mining Corporation is focused on value-added projects where opportunities can be identified and developed through innovative or opportunistic project identification and management. The company's principal projects under exploration and planned development are focused on chromite in the most historically productive area of Albania and the Bursa copper-molybdenum porphyry in western Turkey. The company also holds the rights to three copper-gold prospects in Serbia and has one licence under application in Bosnia within the well-recognised porphyry belts of south-east Europe. Its most advanced project is the Bulqiza-Batra chromite Project in Albania where the company has exclusive exploration rights over four licences totalling some 62 square kilometres. The plan combines drilling with underground exploration and development that is geared to early conversion to mining rights and production. Existing infrastructure helps avoid the need for heavy up-front capital costs and minimal processing ensures that a high value direct shipping ore can help defray start-up costs. A new view of the geology, assembled from the painstaking review of more than 45 years of state-acquired drillhole and mining information, has opened up considerable potential for successful exploration and development making use of existing infrastructure.
