Silver Range Resources Ltd. owns 100% interests in claims covering four highly prospective zinc-lead±silver projects in Yukon Territory. The most advanced projects are the Silver Range project, located in an area of exceptional infrastructure near the town of Faro, and the Mel project, situated 80 km east of the town of Watson Lake.
The Silver Range project hosts 26 mineralized zones that have been discovered to date in two belts within the 1,100 sq km claim block. The northerly 70 km long Tay Trend includes the 39.76 million tonne Keg Deposit, which contains silver, zinc, lead and copper, while the southerly, 17 km long Mt. Mye Trend contains the silver-rich Hammer Zone. The Silver Range property lies directly north of the former mines of the Anvil District.
The Mel project covers four promising mineral zones and comprises a 50 sq km claim block that is accessible by a 45 km winter road connecting the property to the Alaska Highway. The Mel Main Zone contains a large historical resource estimation of zinc, lead and barite, with highly favourable metallurgical characteristics. Drilling at the other zones has also yielded positive results, and there is excellent potential for additional discoveries.
