Valhalla Resources is an active mineral exploration company with a primary focus along the Tethyan Mineral Belt that traverses a broad region from Eastern Europe into Asia. Presently, Valhalla has active exploration projects in Turkey and Romania and anticipates drill programs in both countries during 2012.
The region has a compelling history of exploration success. Turkey has demonstrated itself to be a stable and mining friendly jurisdiction that continues to yield impressive exploration results and growth in its mineral production. Romania has undoubtedly some of the most significant mineral deposits in Eastern Europe led by Gabriel Resources’ 14 million ounce Rosia Montana gold deposits.
Valhalla’s founders, Joel Hayes and Stacy Quinney, have lived in Romania for more than a decade; they recently combined with the former Underworld Resources team (Michael Williams, Rob McLeod and Adrian Fleming) to capitalise on the opportunities presented to the Company due to management’s extensive relationships in Romania and Turkey.
