About Southern Silver Exploration Corp.
Southern Silver Exploration Corp. is a precious metal exploration and development company with a focus on the discovery of world class mineral deposits in north-central Mexico and the southern USA with specific emphasis on our Cerro Las Minitas silver-lead-zinc project located in the heart of Mexico’s Faja de Plata which hosts multiple world class mineral deposits. We have assembled a team of highly experienced technical, operational and transactional professionals to support our exploration efforts in developing the Cerro Las Minitas project into a premier, high-grade, silver-lead-zinc mine. Our property portfolio also includes the Oro porphyry copper-gold project located in southern New Mexico, USA.
In Mexico, since acquisition of the Cerro Las Minitas property in 2011, 90 holes have been drilled for a total of 32,445m leading to the discovery of the Blind Zone and the El Sol Zone and more recently, the Mina La Bocona zone. As well, several other promising targets have been identified, including the South Skarn and Mina Santo Nino which are open at depth and in all directions The Company as operator, is funded through an Option Agreement with Electrum Global Holdings L.P. which can earn an indirect 60% interest in the property. Electrum also owns approx. 46% of the I/O shares of Southern Silver.
A second phase of drilling has been completed at the Company's second property, Oro gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc project in New Mexico, where the company has identified a widespread zone of porphyry/skarn alteration and near surface bulk-tonnage gold potential.
