Cypress Development Corp. is a publicly traded lithium and zinc exploration company advancing projects in the State of Nevada, U.S.A.
Cypress' flagship Glory Lithium Brine/Claystone Project is located in the heart of the Clayton Valley lithium exploration area of Esmeralda County, Nevada. The Company's Glory Project is within a 0.5 mile of lithium brine wells belonging to the Albemarle Silver Peak Mine and the property shares its western boundary with the lithium resource area of Pure Energy's Clayton Valley South project.
Cypress optioned its Glory Clayton Valley Project to Pure Energy Minerals in August 2016 with Cypress remaining the project operator until Pure Energy earns a 51% interest. The agreement allows the Company to advance its Glory Project while working with and utilizing the geological expertise of the Pure Energy team. Planned drilling at Cypress' Glory Project targeting lithium-rich brines will also include shallow holes targeting a 1 1/2 by 3 kilometer long zone of strong lithium mineralization up to 3,800 ppm Li in a highly leachable non-hectorite claystone discovered at surface.
In September 2016, Cypress reached an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the 2,700 acre Dean Lithium Brine/Claystone Project located to the immediate east of Albemarle's Silver Peak Mine with Cypress' Glory Clayton Valley Project on its southern boundary and Pure Energy's project on its southwest boundary. Recent sampling on the Dean Project has identified abundant green lithium-rich claystones up to 3,700 ppm Li in the 2 square kilometer Frontera Verde Zone.
