About Alexco Resource Corp.

Alexco owns the historic Keno Hill Silver District, located in Canada's Yukon Territory. The Bellekeno silver mine, one of the world's highest-grade silver mines with a production grade of up to 1,000 grams per tonne, commenced commercial production at the beginning of calendar year 2011 and was Canada's only operating primary silver mine from 2011 to 2013. Alexco is currently in interim suspension of operations at Bellekeno in order to decrease costs and reposition the District for long-term, sustainable operations. Alexco has successfully continued exploring other promising high-grade silver prospects on its other District properties, and has discovered two important new deposits - Flame & Moth and Bermingham. Three mines are already well into development, with a fourth waiting for a development decision. The continuing discoveries of some of the largest deposits ever in the District point to the prolific and prospective nature of Keno Hill. Through its Alexco Environmental Group (AEG), a growing and profitable environmental services business, Alexco holds the contract to remediate environmental impacts from past mining in the Keno Hill District, in partnership with the Canadian government and the First Nations. This unique business model allowed Alexco to obtain the mineral and mining rights to the entire Keno Hill area and identify the best prospects for future production, while simultaneously enabling it to responsibly manage the reclamation of this historical mining District. AEG supplies mine-related environmental services to government and industry clients in Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere through North and South America and overseas.
